NBA legend Shaquille O?Neal was one of the most dominant big men to ever play the game of basketball. During his prime, he was unstoppable and willed the Los Angeles Lakers to three NBA titles. It was a three-peat from 2000 to 2002. And Shaq was named the Finals MVP on all three occasions. Even though the Lakers had a young Kobe Bryant, O?Neal was undoubtedly the main man. He also won the NBA MVP award in 2000.

The Lakers are one of the most successful clubs in the NBA alongside their rivals the Boston Celtics. Both the clubs have won 17 championships a piece. Over the years, the Lakers have had some of the biggest legends the game has ever seen. These legends not only brought titles to the city of Los Angeles but also impacted the game more than anyone. Some of these legends include Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O?Neal, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.

Are LeBron James and Wilt Chamberlain bigger Lakers than Shaquille O?Neal?

A lot of fans commented that LeBron James isn?t a bigger Laker than O?Neal. And it is understandable. James has only played four seasons for the purple and gold so far. And has helped them win an NBA title in 2020. Shaq on the other hand played eight seasons with the Lakers and won three championships. But Shaq was not just talking about the players? contribution to the Lakers? franchise. He was talking about their career accomplishments.

When Eugene Henley owner of the record label ?Uneek Music? commented that Chamberlain has to go, O?Neal replied, ?He still got about 2 thousand more points than me?.

Chamberlain played five seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers and won one NBA title in 1972. During his career, he won four NBA MVP awards, one Finals MVP, and one All-Star MVP award. He has also won another championship with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1967.

While Chamberlain and James might not have had the same impact as O?Neal for the Lakers, even Shaq feels they are better overall players than himself.
