Shaquille O’Neal pulled an epic LeBron James celebration after draining an epic shot from beyond the arc in front of his kids. The Big Diesel doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to shooting from the deep. But he proved for once that he can shoot from outside the three-point line if he really puts his mind to it.
Shaq is widely accepted as the most dominant basketball player of all time. But he has displayed his limitations while shooting the basketball from range during his playing days. In fact, teams even devised a plan, popularly known as ‘Hack-a-Shaq’, to foul him intentionally and force him to the free-throw line in an attempt to mitigate his dominance in the paint.

However, Shaq has worked on his shooting over the years. And as he showcased in this episode of Home Team Hoops from a few years ago, he has improved a lot.
Shaquille O’Neal does ‘The Silencer’ after swishing a three-pointer
In this episode of Home Team Hoops, Shaquille O’Neal showed up at a local gym to watch the progress of his kids, Shareef and Shaqir, in training. After giving them a hard time in practice, alongside providing valuable insight, Shaq started to loosen up a bit himself. Before long, he was playing bully ball one-on-one with one of the trainers.

After beating the trainer one-on-one, the Lakers legend decided to enter a three-point contest with him. Shaq revealed that he usually doesn’t do well in shooting contests. But this time he kept making shots one after another.
Meanwhile, after making his last three, the four-time NBA champion did something unexpected. In fact, he pulled out LeBron James‘ iconic ‘The Silencer’ celebration in his opponent’s face. The Big Man celebrated his victory with the epic dance while simultaneously calling himself “The Black Steph Curry“.

Meanwhile, Shareef O’Neal revealed in an aside that Shaq is not as bad a three-point shooter as people think. In fact, he can sometimes get hot from the deep.
“I tell people that he can actually shoot. But no one really believes me,” said the 22-year-old. Moreover, he revealed that Shaq once drained 10-straight three-pointers at their home in Florida.
