Shaquille O’Neal Evidently Not Over His Superman Beef With Dwight Howard After Shaq Belittles the Lakers Veteran’s Dunk to Make a Case for His Own

Shaquille O’Neal is an undisputed NBA legend and one of the greatest centers of all time. He is also an out-and-out entertainer and never fails to crack people up. Shaq is a synonym for entertainment. His moments on TNT during Inside the NBA or any other segment are absolutely hilarious. 

One of the funniest things during his retirement career as a sports analyst has been his relationship with Charles Barkley. You can never keep a straight face when Shaq and Chuck mess with each other, argue or pull pranks. Their moments are always hysterical and would leave anyone with laughter.

One of the most famous stories of Shaq’s career was his beef with Dwight Howard. Howard won the dunk contest in 2008 and scored the dunk while wearing a t-shirt with the superman logo and red cape. Shaq started beefing with Dwight ever since for ‘stealing’ his nickname ‘Superman’ and because Dwight Howard had one award that Shaq did not.

There was a joke among the NBA on TNT cast and crew about if Shaq could still dunk after he turned 50 on Sunday, March 6th. Shaq obviously attempted the dunk and let’s just say that he completed it. He also found loopholes in the challenge given to him and compared it with Dwight Howard’s dunk, calling it the “same thing”.

“Loophole number 1,” Shaq started the fun. “Judge Brendan Haywood said you can’t just walk in, you can’t wear flats. So I walked in and I had flats. You saying the dunk don’t count, that means I get to go again next week. You agree or disagree?” pointing towards Dwyane Wade, leaving him hilariously speechless.

“The second is let’s roll this Dwight Howard dunk y’all be sweating all the time. Let’s roll that dunk, roll it! Watch this.” 

Everyone then re-watched Dwight Howard’s dunk of 2008 in superman attire and Shaq went, “same as my dunk! Fingertips throwing in. Look watch! Same thing!”

This sent everyone laughing. They had hysterical and sarcastic remarks about the fact that it was indeed the same dunk.

It was a hilarious exchange and series of opinions from different people involved in the TNT post-match show even before Shaq’s attempt. It was almost 50-50 among the opinions that were – Yes, Shaq can still dunk and no way! But Shaquille O’Neal proved that he can, and it was just the same as Dwight Howard’s superman dunk.
