Shaq ended his glittering NBA career with the Boston Celtics. However, he had his money on the Knicks and he explained the reason why. According to him, Boston’s lack of urgency and teamwork cost them the game.
O’Neal pointed out the flaws in his former team’s performance saying, “Whenever you lose a game like that, it’s all about focus and concentration. The reason why I told the Knicks were going to win, New York was making the run, and I did not see a sense of urgency.
He added, “The offense is so bad, give it to one guy, everybody else standing.”
Shaq spent around 10 months with the Celtics at the dawn of his career.
He played just 37 games for the Celtics before calling it quits. He announced his retirement from the game via a social media post and his final words were, “Father Time has caught up with Shaquille O’Neal.“
Shaq always favors teams based on merit. Here’s why?
If you thought his recent comments preferring the Knicks over one of his former teams were a hot take, Shaquille O’Neal has preferred the Golden State Warriors over his beloved Los Angeles Lakers in the past most of the time.
The Lakers have been terrible this season and Shaquille O’Neal had a lot to say. Shaq mentioned on his podcast, “I don’t celebrate seventh place at all. I celebrate Steph Curry. I’ll go to Golden State and watch him play”
