Shaquille O’Neal has money down on LaMelo Ball
When in high school, Ball hit a nasty half-court shot. He pointed to the spot, dribbled down to it, and pulled right up without any hesitation. Chiefly, he hit the shot, and the clip went viral. Hence, with him in the Rising Stars game, Shaq revealed he has a whooping $100k on Ball making a similar shot in the game, and LaMelo accepted the challenge.
While the range is sure much larger than his high school days, LaMelo has hit some deep shots in the NBA. He is a pretty deadly shooter and has the potential to make that game winning shot. Moreover, as a player, Ball is developing into a superstar for the Hornets.
Playing for Michael Jordan’s team, LaMelo has turned it on this season. Averaging 19.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists per night, he is also in conversation to be an All-Star reserve in his second season. His dynamic play style has allowed the Hornets to expand their offense. LaMelo, being the leader of their offense, has done a great job in getting everyone involved while also being a scoring threat himself.
