Shaquille O’Neal is one of the wealthiest players in NBA history. And the way the four-time NBA champion got there was by investing and building businesses from a young age. He even got himself a degree after he felt insulted by businessmen neglecting him in meetings. And when fans learned that he paid for 15 of his friends to go to college with him, they went berserk.

Shaq used to attend meetings for a long time, but the people he would meet generally used to interact with his lawyers, accountants, and other staff. And Shaq felt like they didn’t know who was in charge. So he went to a university and said that he wanted to get a degree. But they said they cannot afford to have a class just for one.

So he got 15 of his friends to enroll in the class and he paid for all of them. And everyone ended up getting a degree in the end.

This is not the first instance the Los Angeles Lakers legend has done something like this. Back in the day, a mom came and complained about basketball shoes being very expensive. So Shaq got out of his contract, and he launched a company by himself. He did that so normal people would be able to afford shoes for themselves and their loved ones.

A few years ago, Shaq became Santa Claus as he bought 1000s of gaming consoles and gave them away to young kids. He is also often seen buying something for kids at malls and shopping centers. There is also a rumor that Shaq helps out waiters by asking them what they think their tip should be, and then paying accordingly.
