Former billionaire Kanye West was in the limelight for the majority of 2022 following his antics with ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson. Not only that, but West also found himself in a lot of trouble after a series of anti-semitic tweets which eventually got him banned from all social media platforms. Months after this fiasco, NBA superstar Kyrie Irving has reignited the Kanye West flame among NBA fans.

Interestingly, Irving also found himself in some deep water during a similar timeline. Months after this whole saga featuring Irving and West, the Dallas Mavericks star posted an interesting picture on Instagram.

Rapper and businessman Kanye West dominated most of the headlines of 2022. As 2023 approached, debates surrounding West and his social media antics died down a little and he was canceled by many sections of society.

Months after this episode, Kyrie Irving shared a picture of West along with a five-time NBA champion on Instagram. It is Los Angeles Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant.

In the picture, West is seen sitting in a studio along with Bryant. Moreover, there are two more people in the old Polaroid. Interestingly, West and Bryant’s photo together does not come as a surprise as the two stalwarts of their respective industries have worked together in the past.

In fact, the late basketball legend and the rapper were in a commercial together. Nike worked with Bryant to develop a campaign for his  ‘Kobe System’ shoe line. In the superhit commercial, the Black Mamba poses as a motivational speaker.

Ye was in the crowd of people and he asked Bryant a tricky question. In hilarious fashion, Bryant left West at a loss for words with his cryptic response.

2016 NBA champion Kyrie Irving sent shockwaves across the sporting world with his social media antics in October of 2022. While still playing for the Brooklyn Nets, the former Rookie of the Year posted a tweet.

It was no normal tweet. The message contained a link to a highly controversial anti-semitic film. Naturally, this invited a lot of backlash for Irving which eventually led to a five-game ban. Moreover, he also had to officially apologize and he also donated $500,000 to organizations fighting intolerance.
