In fact, his detrimental behavior from the past had a snowball effect as well when his new questionable actions came to light. As of now, the Memphis Grizzlies star remain suspended from the league and the final decision on his career moving forward will be made after the NBA Finals.

The NBA commissioner has shown his disappointment over the multiple controversies that Morant has had recently. However, his fate is being kept under wraps owing to the ongoing final between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat. However, that hasn’t stopped the speculations from floating around.

At this point, the NBA star who many deemed to be the next big thing, has been in the news more for bad reasons than for his game. With all the talent he has, Morant has failed to hold onto his discipline as an athlete. The 23-year-old is currently and will continue to be suspended from league play until further notice. At the beginning of this year, the Grizzlies star was in controversy after he flashed a firearm on his Instagram Live session. That led to his suspension, and he was back with the Grizzlies after issuing an apology.

After his apology, mainly to his family for letting them down, things started to look up for the 23-year-old. Unfortunately, it couldn’t last long, as the star was again caught in a firearm incident. This time he was flashing it on his friend’s social media while they were just driving around. This led to a massive uproar in the NBA community, and people wondered what was next for the young star of the game. Morant was slapped with a suspension from the league and remains suspended till now.

The final decision will be announced by the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, after the season concludes.

Windhorst said, “I would be surprised if it’s half of the season but I think it will be a big chunk of games.” Additionally, other NBA pundits and veterans as well as hoop fans, all are waiting to see what the NBA decides to do in Morant’s case.
