One of the most exciting parts of the NBA season is the trade deadline, and it is just around the corner. The biggest names of this year’s trade market have been Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets. There was major news linking Harden to the 76ers, while some said otherwise.

As per the latest reports, the Ben Simmons drama could finally be coming to an end. Sources claim that the Nets are open to letting Harden go in a deal that involves Simmons and Seth Curry.

The Philadelphia 76ers were frontrunners to sign James Harden when he left the Houston Rockets. Although the deal did not go through and he ended up signing for the Nets, it seems the 76ers will finally get their man.

Harden was the biggest name doing the rounds in discussions involving the trade market. According to Bill Simmons of The Ringer, we could be in for a blockbuster deal.

Getting Harden to represent the 76ers would be a dream for every Philly fan. He would get to play with the 76ers juggernaut Joel Embiid, who has been phenomenal this season.

While no trade is expected before deadline day, a lot of factors need to be taken care of before the teams reach a conclusion. According to The Ringer, the 76ers need to add around $2.5 million in salary to make it a valid trade.

And the players that could be included in the deal are Danny Green or Seth Curry. Talking on his podcast, Bill Simmons mentioned, “This is from the same source that has given me some good intel over the last couple of weeks, that Brooklyn is open to it, but Seth Curry has to be in the deal.”

While the deal is yet to reach fruition, pairing Joel Embiid and James Harden would be the ultimate dream for the 76ers front office. As for Harden, he has never played with a player like Embiid. And Embiid would receive the services of a playmaker like Harden as he looks for an MVP season.

The Brooklyn Nets are also going through a brutal losing streak, which could be a factor. The Nets currently take 7th place in the East while the 76ers are placed 5th in the same conference.
