The modern NBA has witnessed its fair share of dramatic fouls. However, fans couldn’t stand what went down in last night’s Los Angeles Lakers vs. Atlanta Hawks game. NBA twitter left no stone unturned in trolling Thomas Bryant on his over-the-top exchange with All-star guard Trae Young. Last night, the Lakers faced off against the Hawks at home in the Crypto.com Arena. After yet another impressive performance from the King, they managed to get the dub. However, despite his contributions in the win, 6’10” center Thomas Bryant faced the brunt of the fans after this peculiar play went viral.?

Lakers center Thomas Bryant suffers major pushback for ‘flopping’

The Lakers faced off against the Hawks at home last night. It played out similarly to a week ago. LeBron James led the Lakers to a 130-114 victory by putting up 25 points, seven rebounds, and ten assists. Another player who had an impressive night was the 6’10” center, Thomas Bryant, who put up a monstrous double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. However, despite his contributions, a peculiar play alongside All-star guard Trae Young left him to suffer the brunt of trolls.

After grabbing a rebound, as Bryant came down with the ball, he suffered what seemed like an inadvertent blow to his lips from 6’1” Young. However, Bryant made it out to be a rather dramatic foul to get the refs’ attention. Though he never got the call, he got accused of ‘flopping’ from the NBA world, as comments started to pour in on social media ridiculing the 25-year-old’s dramatic gestures.
