The tales of Dennis Rodman never cease to entertain. The NBA legend had entertaining company around him most of the time. The way he lead his life turned him toward various people who had the most amazing stories. Almost a decade ago, the five-time NBA champion decided to narrate a similar story that would still turn eyeballs. The Worm calmly recalled it while being amongst unique company.?

The Chicago Bulls legend recalled how once he sat with his friend who sold MySpace and the company was later on sold to some other entity for more than 20x its value.?

Dennis Rodman on his friend?s misfortunes

Dennis Rodman?had a very active social life once he was traded from the Detroit Pistons to San Antonio Spurs. He used to meet a lot of people during his frequent visits to clubs and parties. The rebound king was no stranger to the word ?celebrity? himself. Many people flocked around him to be a part of one of the biggest stars in the league. This made for some interesting friends and wild experiences and stories.

One of these stories included Rodman?s friend selling MySpace to one of the biggest News broadcasters in the world.

?My friend owned MySpace, right. He sold it for $500 million to Fox [Broadcasting], right. Then Fox sold it and made $11 billion. So my friend looked at me and said one thing: ‘F**k.’ That’s all he said: ‘F**k.’? said Rodman.?

Rodman was talking about the $580 Million acquisition of the social media company by the News Corporation in July 2005. The social media website later had a huge valuation, making the original seller face a huge loss. MySpace has since died a slow death, and just maybe the decision wasn’t so bad.

The founders of MySpace were Chris DeWolfe, Tom Anderson, and Jon Hart. However, it is not clear who Rodman was referring to. Rodman and his stories are sometimes unbelievable, but the facts suggest that this might be true. The NBA legend narrated this story back in 2013, while casually smoking a cigar on a lawn chair.

The two-time DPOY once went on a 48-hour Vegas trip with permission from his coach. Because he needed some time to refresh. However, Rodman didn?t return after the allowed 48 hours, and Michael Jordan had to go look for him.
