The Golden State Warriors have been in terrific form the past few games. After initially struggling entering the 2022-23 season, it seems the defending champions have finally got their ground running. They were on a five-game winning streak in the absence of Stephen Curry who hasn’t played since December before losing out to the Detroit Pistons. A positive new update has surfaced which will leave the Warriors fanbase elated.
According to reports, Curry will be back soon. In fact, he will be evaluated in the next few days which will give us the exact date of his return which is expected to be around the 13th of January. His return will be key for the Warriors who look to extend their good run of form and rise upwards in the Western Conference table.

The Warriors did not have the best of-season starts. Despite Curry firing on all cylinders, the team as a whole struggled. This was evident in their performances as they dipped down outside of the playoff and even the play-in spots.
When Curry injured himself against the Indiana Pacers, all hope looked lost. However, the team has performed really well in his absence and is currently ninth in the Western Conference.
The return of Steph will be important for the team as they head into a crucial January month. The team has targeted their January 13th game against the San Antonio Spurs for Curry’s return.
“The two-week mark to evaluate him would be this weekend, but there’s been no setbacks or anything like that. The first road game is Friday on San Antonio. That would be a hope, that’s what we’d be shooting for, something in that range for him to be back”, said Warriors GM, Bob Myers according to CBS Sports.
Thankfully, the former MVP injured his non-shooting shoulder which makes his return a little bit smoother. Prior to his injury, Steph Curry was playing some of the best basketball in his career and the Warriors team and fanbase will hope he can continue that form despite the horrific injury.
Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole stepped up in Curry’s absence
