Whenever the team played at home, the Jumbotron televised animated horse races. Interestingly enough, these races were pre-recorded. Jordan took advantage of this fact at the expense of Scottie.
He enquired which horse would win in the race from the operating team, and he would place a bet with Scottie. On Zach Lowe’s ESPN podcast, Amin Elhassan talked about the entire incident.
He narrated, “Fast-forward: Game, timeout, Phil Jackson is drawing up some play. Mike goes to Scottie and says, ‘Hundred bucks the red one wins.’“
Guess what? The red horse won the race and Pippen had to dish out a hundred bucks. This went on for an entire season without Scottie getting even a hint of MJ’s foul play. This just shows how far Jordan can go to win!
