Dennis Rodman is undoubtedly a very transparent person. He says everything how he sees it and there are no two ways about it. While that has sometimes resulted in him getting embroiled in controversy, he always remains truthful. That was again the case when he revealed a major detail about his former Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan.
Rodman played with Jordan and Scottie Pippen for three seasons as part of the Bulls, going on to win three straight championships during Rodman’s time in Chicago. While Rodman had already become famous for his off-court antics by the time he got to Chicago, his actions got even more coverage due to playing with MJ.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen have had various differences throughout their lives. The situation escalated after the release of the docuseries ‘The Last Dance‘ in 2020. With numerous media outlets and former players chiming in on the debate, Rodman gave his assessment of the situation. In an interview, he revealed why MJ would get anxious while answering certain questions.
He said, “If you saw Michael Jordan talk about people on that team, especially Scottie Pippen, he talked so highly of Scottie Pippen. So much he almost got in tears talking about Scottie Pippen“. While they may not have seen eye-to-eye on most occasions, they made sure it didn’t affect their game on the court.
He continued, “But when the reporters started asking Michael about Scottie Pippen, Michael got perturbed. He got perturbed and said, Why don’t you go ask Scottie?’”

Rodman then revealed that Jordan would praise his teammates most of the time. However, he got anxious when people asked him only about them, leaving him out. “But if you let Michael talk about people, he will praise you all day long. But if you come at Michael Jordan and start asking questions about somebody, not talking about him, that’s a different Michael Jordan“, Rodman said.
He went on to say that he had a good relationship with Pippen, although that deteriorated over the years. Jordan and Pippen are widely regarded as one of the best duos in league history. They won six championships together with the Chicago Bulls.
