Kevin Durant is currently in Tokyo for Team USA’s bid towards a fourth straight Olympic Gold. Manipulating opponents, taking selfies with other athletes, and coping with a pool of crazy teammates are some of the tasks at his hands. And yet, the 2x Olympic Gold Medalist finds time to participate in the Twitter war with his top critics.
KD has now built a reputation of a personality who never backs down against his haters. So if it takes more tweets than mid-range shots made, well then be it. And recently, he targeted a potential LeBron James fan with a savage response.

Kevin Durant and his starry comeback against his hater
Recently, the Lakers sent away Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and their #22 pick to Washington and received Russell Westbrook. With that, the Lake Show further lost their chance to sign a shooting talent. Noting this, the critics of the Lakers jumped in to mock their options.
A twitterati called center Marc Gasol as their best shooting option and that started something that caught KD’s attention. On that comment, a popular Twitter account 73-9 and they LIED, responded by calling out Durant. Take a look at how The Sniper retaliated to it –

Notably, the 11x All-Star has always been on the target of this particular account. Just a couple of days ago, the 2x NBA Champion had mocked it for dragging Kyrie Irving into the conversation.

Back in 2012, KD had lost his chance to win a title even with a roster full of big stars. The OKC (KD, Russ, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, and Kendrick Perkins) had lost their NBA Finals against the LeBron James led Big Three.
Now, almost ten years to that humiliating 1-4 loss, King James has again formed a big three with Anthony Davis and Russ at his side. If the history repeats, chances are that the Nets will again fail to win a championship. Perhaps this is reason enough to go in memory lane and feel a little scared.

However, after KD’s 34.3-point playoff average in 2021, he is potentially more dangerous than he was in 2012. Also, throw in a Kyrie Irving in the mix and KD surely has no worries if they can stay healthy. What do you think about the situation, should Durant feel the heat?
