The GOAT debate is one of the most talked about topics in the basketball world. Every person has their own GOAT and their own unique reasons for it. But this four-time NBA champion has presented a rare analogy on why there is a huge gap between Michael Jordan and the rest of them.

Andre Iguodala and his friend Evan Turner recently started their own podcast called ‘Point Forward’. The two players were both considered to be point forwards, and they were former teammates as well. And in the latest episode, they were talking about how a matchup between the Dream Team and the Redeem team would go down.

Michael Jordan was at the highest scale of gold in NBA standards

Iguodala was on the Redeem team with LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and other stars. So he knows what the team was like and how great the players were. Iguodala, who has won four NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors, and Turner talked about the matchups between the two teams. He said the best four of the Redeem team would have matched up well with the best four of the Dream Team.

But where the Dream Team takes the edge is the rest of the squad. The team was loaded with Hall of Famers and anytime somebody was on the court, they would likely outmatch any team in history. In the 1992 Olympics, the Dream Team won by an average of over 30 points.

But Andre Iguodala said the reason that the team was great was because of one person. And that is His Airness himself, Michael Jordan. He gave an interesting analogy to compare Jordan to the others.

He?said,” How much gold like America and China has compared to everyone else is OD… When you see the scale of it… That’s the scale of gold we have compared to everyone else. That’s the difference I’m talking about. Michael Jordan is that.”?

They said that Jordan was on an unprecedented scale and that Kobe Bryant was the human version of MJ. And hence that is the reason he is the GOAT and why there is a huge gap between number one and the rest of them.
