NBA Twitter has a clash of opinions over LeBron James’ list

In a very recent interview with Dave McMenamin of ESPN, 18-time NBA All-Star LeBron James talked about soon becoming the all-time scoring leader and how it was never on the list of goals that he had set. Following that revelation, McMenamin stated the fact that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is the active player after James on the all-time scoring list. He then asked, according to James, which other active NBA players have what it takes to surpass him next.

The four-time MVP replied that the first name that comes to his mind was Kevin Durant. He then named Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Evidently, not everyone was on board with James’ list. His choice of players became a reason for debate among NBA fans with some pointing out that Warriors superstar Stephen Curry should have been included in the list. Below are a few of the tweets.

Curry is arguably the best shooter ever. So James missing out on the four-time champion’s name puzzled a lot of fans. Amidst the fans’ debate regarding Steph’s ability to surpass LeBron, the sharpshooter has finally made a comeback after missing 11 games due to his injury.
