NBA superstar, Russell Westbrook, didn’t have the best of seasons last year. Expectations were high after a blockbuster move to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the Lakers didn’t even make the playoffs to the dismay of the fans. And Westbrook was at the center of it all season long. Even though Anthony Davis’ injury layoffs added to their misery, Russ was criticized the most. And the fans couldn’t believe that the Lakers front office traded away their young core for the former MVP.

During the offseason, the Lakers were expected to trade Westbrook away. However, it is easier said than done. And Russ is still a Laker even after so many rumors claiming his departure. Recently, there was news about Russ building a business empire for his future. During the ‘Undisputed’ show, Skip Bayless and NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe, discussed Russ building a business empire.

Shannon Sharpe laid in on Westbrook, saying that basketball should be the #1 priority. And said that Russ can build a multi-billion empire. However, basketball should be the most important. And Skip Bayless said, “I’m with you. I have said from the start, from his Oklahoma City days that Russ’ priority was never winning, it was starring. And he found the ultimate stat by which he could star called a triple-double…” He said that Westbrook found the triple-double as something that could put him on the all-time map.

Bayless continued, “… Then his childhood dream came true. And he came to LA to be the point guard for the Lakers he grew up living and dying for. And it turned into his worst nightmare because he got exposed…” He said that it’s a different stage when he’s playing alongside a player like LeBron James.
