After days of uncertainty, the Utah Jazz and Rudy Gobert have finally agreed on a deal. The Stifle Tower landed a humongous deal with the franchise after years of his service.
Now, the only question that remains is can Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell lead the Jazz to an NBA Championship?
Prior to the NBA bubble, the duo hit a rough patch. Gobert’s stunt of touching all the mics in the press conference to prove that COVIF-19 is not a serious issue put a wall between him and his teammates.

Gobert and Mitchell – The recipe for success for Utah Jazz?
However, right after signing the $205 extension, Gobert cleared some air. He believes his relationship with his teammates, Mitchell in particular, is better now.
“After the bubble, I really felt like I could win a championship with Donovan [Mitchell]. I think we’ve both grown a lot, and we’re going to keep growing. I’m really excited that we’re going to be able to continue this journey together.” Both locked up long term now.”

Only time will tell if the Gobert-Mitchell can bring an NBA Championship to Utah. The organization has full faith in the duo, regardless. Earlier in the offseason, they handed Mitchell a max deal as well.
They have the next five years to prove their worth to the organization and fans.
Rudy Gobert pens an emotional message for the Jazz fans
Once the news broke about Rudy signing the biggest contract for a big man in NBA history. Rudy also penned down an emotional message thanking the organization and their fans.
“Dear Utah, I don’t say a lot. I don’t show my feelings a lot… and sometimes my accent gets in the way of exactly what I want to say, but it’s important to me to share a few thoughts with the people that have been behind me ever since I landed here from France.

The Stifle Tower averaged 15.1 points and 13.5 rebounds last season. If he can bring more of the same along with his superb defense, the sky is the limit for the Jazz.
But was signing Rudy Gobert to such a massive deal the right decision by the franchise? We leave that for you to discuss in the comments section.
