Rudy Gobert has quickly established himself as an NBA star since being a relatively obscure player in the Development League. NBA fans first referred to him as ‘The Stifle Tower’ due to his incredible height, reach, and wingspan. The French national speaks his mind out candidly during interviews. One such occasion witnessed the Utah Jazz star Gobert reserving high praise for himself.
Gobert recently grabbed the attention of NBA fans as he responded to his vocal critics. He was speaking in a post game interview following the Utah Jazz’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Gobert revealed how he kept his head down, doing his job for the Jazz without paying heed to his critics.
Gobert said, “You know, I am motivated every night. People love to take shots at me for no reason. It’s funny cause I never take shots on anyone but I just do my job coming every night. And I think when you when you’re the best in the world at something, you know, people become insecure. And that’s – you know I’m just going to keep going, keep playing for the team and keep getting wins.”
