Los Angeles Lakers seem to want another go-round on their trade of Russell Westbrook. On the basis of their stats and performances, they are in a very poor position this season. As of now, they are nowhere near the championship. They are sitting on the ninth spot in the Western Conference.

This brings us to another point. As far as the amount the team expected to engage in a trade deal goes, very few teams are in a position to make trade offers. Despite this, Russell Westbrook’s performance because of his age and his skills at shooting three-pointers makes this list shorter.

However, there is a team that may be interested in trading for Westbrook, as rumors are going around the NBA. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets are ready to make a trade. Nevertheless, they will require adequate draft compensation.

In the wake of the Russell Westbrook trade speculation, the Rockets’ Twitter pushed their John Wall agenda. There is a quiet tension between Wall and the Rockets. In terms of contracts, Wall and Westbrook have somewhat the same deal. The two are earning almost $44 million this season.

In the trade rumor involving Russell Westbrook and John Wall, Rockets’ fans came forward to support John Wall

With Wall’s performance this season, he hasn’t been involved that much with the team. The Rockets would not lose much by exchanging him for Westbrook in that case. In September last year, it was revealed both the player and the team were not to the fabric of the team. Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported this in detail at the time.

The Rockets explained that the team does not want to jeopardize Wall’s fitness, and the sides agreed on the route that won’t complicate his ability to continue playing at a high level, Charania writes. [h/t rocketswire.usatoday.com]

In addition, Fox 26 Houston’s Mark Berman reports that the 31-year-old did not request to be traded. “According to sources, the five-time All-Star simply isn’t part of the Rockets’ long-term plans”.

On Twitter, many NBA, as well as Rockets fans, defended Wall’s performance. Some have referred to him as the “Best shot blocking PG in NBA history“.

Meaning there will always be a team willing to take him. Let us know what you think about Wall’s position with the Rockets.
