Months ago, the Houston Rockets parted ways with James Harden. While he looked to pursue a title elsewhere, the team’s core ended up shifting. However, as per Rockets legend, Gerald Green, the team has nothing much to worry about with Kevin Porter Jr on their roster.
Green was on the Inside Buzz with Mikey Domagala, where they discussed various topics revolving around the Rockets. The 36-year-old spoke of the 2018 NBA playoffs, and how they had a shot if Chris Paul hadn’t injured himself.
Let’s take a look at what Green had to say about Porter.

Gerald Green opens up about the Rockets’ future with young star Christian Wood
The conversation started with Green and the host discussing the young Rockets’ roster. Apart from Kevin Porter Jr, the team also has Christian Wood, Jalen Green, Jae’Sean Tate, and Josh Christopher, all of whom help form the team’s young core. Green believes that the team just needs to grow, and the Rockets did an overall good job at drafting.

Even if they have good players on the team, the Rockets have to learn how to win. That, as per Green, is the most difficult part. He even focused on Jalen Green, who could grow to become a star if he focuses.
“I think Christian Wood is pretty much there. He’s just got to keep on staying the course and just keep on being consistent,” Green said. He believes that it’s God’s limit for him.
Green also had some special comments about Porter as well. “We could be looking at the next James Harden with him. That’s just my opinion.”
