Michael Jordan was, and probably still is one of the most competitive people in the world. Certainly the most competitive in NBA history. MJ always wanted to win. Moreover, he made sure that he has done everything in his power to absolutely trash his opponent and prove to him that MJ was miles ahead of everyone else.

He had an attitude that made him improve himself every day. Many players did not like Jordan on the court because he was straight-up rude and did not see anyone else other than himself.

There weren?t many players that could say that they gave a tough competition to MJ and MJ would agree. There were only the elite players that MJ wanted to show that he was better than them. One such player was Clyde Drexler.

The shooting guard played for Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets for over 15 years of his career. He won the NBA championship once with the Rockets in 1995. Apparently, Clyde loved playing against ‘His Airness’ because he loved the competition.

There are many NBA legends who would say things about MJ about being so competitive that they would just feel that, yes Jordan was in fact the best player. But as far as shooting guards go, Clyde was one of the most brilliant shooting guards the game has ever seen. He loved playing against Michael and surprisingly was never on the receiving end of trash talks from the Bulls legend.

Clyde shared what kind of relationship he and Michael Jordan shared, “When you?re a competitor, I mean we weren?t uh enemies. I know he?s gonna come at me and guess what he knows I?m coming at him. I?m gonna play my game. If you get in my way, I?m gonna knock your nose off. Same way with him.”

“We?re gonna compete but really it comes down to your teammates. How good is your team, you know. I loved playing against Michael. I mean he was the nicest guy but he?s a great competitor.”

Chris stopped Clyde and asked, ?Now he talked a lot of trash on the court, right?? Clyde replied quickly, ?he didn?t ever say anything to me. How?s your family? How are you doing? A lot of mutual respect.??
