The veteran Warriors trio of Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green kept their composure and ultimately secured the victory. They collectively had ?77 points, 16 assists, and 8 rebounds. Colin Cowherd called game 5 of the Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings a ‘masterclass’ on how to win against a young talented team. In spite of their prior troubles on the road, Golden State put on a show against a tough Sacramento team. With 33 assists and seven blocks, they had to use all of their talent and experience to secure the victory.

Cowherd pointed out that the Warriors just played an all-time game. Sacramento didn’t choke or had bad coaching in this instance. It’s difficult to not be impressed by the team’s brilliance and skill on the court, even if you’re not a fan. The veteran analyst then went on to draw surprising parallels between the Warriors and a great NFL team.
He said, It reminds me of the last Patriots team with Brady to win a Super Bowl in 2018. Brady was old like Steph. Edelman was older, beat-up injuries like Klay. The older Gronk did all the dirty work, he’s Draymond. And then you had your Andrew Wiggins was James White the running back who had 87 catches. Didn’t get the love but was so valuable. And a lot of intellectual capital and playoff experience, and just when you thought Brady Gronk and Edelman didn’t have anything left, here come the young upstart, Chiefs, the Rams, and their flashy offense and they put it together [in] 2018 and win a Super Bowl.”
Drawing comparisons between the Golden State Warriors and the New England Patriots was definitely a unique move by Cowherd. However, it is clear that he was absolutely left impressed by the Warriors’ performance.

Will the Lakers play against the Warriors?

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors are just one victory away from reserving their highly awaited second-round playoff showdown. The Warriors are currently an 8.5-point favorite against the Sacramento Kings, while the Lakers are currently 4.5-point home favorites over the Memphis Grizzlies. Golden State has won three straight games after falling behind the Kings 2-0 in the first half. They would advance to the next round if they win on Friday night.
