Broadcaster and former NFL star Ahmad Rashad once revealed the things in common between the likes of Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and Shaquille O’Neal. Being closely associated with Jordan, he went on to explain his greatness and cited the similarities between Jordan, Brady, and Shaq.
Common attributes between Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and Shaquille O’Neal
In a 2020 interview with Rich Eisen, Ahmad Rashad expressed what he thought were the similarities between the greats of the games. He went on to explain how his and Jordan’s relationship developed from their first meeting. Eisen asked him whether he got to learn anything from the documentary of Jordan. In response to that, Rashad replied that he knew everything as a former athlete. However, he thought that the viewers were fortunate to watch the human side of Jordan and his competitive nature.
Further, Rashad wanted to ensure that the competitive nature was not only a part of Jordan but also other greats like Shaq and Tom Brady. In regard to this statement, Eisen told Rashad how Shaquille O’Neal felt insulted when he came on “The Rich Eisen Show”. Eisen described Shaq asking him, “You don’t think I was that way,” on the topic of Jordan’s demeanor.
Rashad replied that all elite athletes have these kinds of characteristics inside them. He then cited a picture of Tom Brady laughing with his teammates and said that Brady might be laughing, but his demeanor gets the best out of his teammates. He added, “He is riding them dudes to death on a weekly basis.”

Ahmad Rashad was a former four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings before transitioning into broadcasting. After his retirement from football, he went on to work as a sports commentator with NBC.

He made his friendship with Jordan during the charity game of Magic Johnson in 1990. Rashad made a regular appearance in the documentary of Michael Jordan, “The Last Dance.” He got the chance of watching Jordan frome close quarters and continued to be friends even after 32years after their first meeting.
