The dream plan for Kyrie Irving to land in LA quickly blew up. The Brooklyn Nets point guard is going to the Western Conference for sure. However, he will be joining forces with the Dallas Mavericks. This left the Los Angeles Lakers dry in the trade market, who were heavily linked to KAI. But it seems the hope isn’t all over. In a recently proposed trade, the purple and gold could upgrade their roster in an emphatic three-team deal.

This season has been another nightmare for the Laker nation. Their franchise sits as the 13th seed with a 25-29 record. The West is currently wide open with the scenario on the table. However, the Lakers probably can only have a little hope with their current roster. Not only have injuries derailed them, but their shooting woes have extended into this season.

Lakers are once again active in trade talks

According to the Fadwaway World, the Lakers have quickly moved on from their Irving loss and hoped into other trade talks. Notably, it involves a three-team deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons. The Lake Show would welcome Tobias Harris and Furkan Korkmaz to elevate their perimeter offense. In exchange, Russell Westbrook would travel to Detroit with Nerlens Noel, Marvin Bagley, and Bojan Bogdanović joining the Sixers.

It solves two major headaches for the Laker’s front office. Notably, they get reliable shooters around LeBron James and Anthony Davis and can hold onto their first-round picks. However, Laker Nation was far from on board.

Offloading Westbrook’s $47 million contract has been a challenge for the Lakers. However, with this deal, their worries no longer would exist. Harris is currently on a five-year $180 million contract with Philadelphia. While many believe he is overpaid, the 30-year-old is a skilled scorer. Not only is his 38% three-point shooting attractive, but Harris’ 6’7″ frame makes him a challenging defender. His 16.9 points per game would most likely increase if he were to join the Lakers. Moreover, Korkmaz could provide valuable minutes as a spot-up shooter.
