The sports world is filled with some of the most legendary voices. They make the sport we love so special. And the sporting world lost one of its iconic voices when Vin Scully passed away on Tuesday at the age of 94. Even NBA legend LeBron James was left emotional after hearing this and shared a heartfelt tribute on Twitter.
Sully worked with the Los Angeles Dodgers for decades and was with them when they started out in Brooklyn. After 1958, the team moved to Los Angeles and Sully continued to stay with them. After 67 years, Sully retired from broadcasting for the Dodgers. He has voiced several iconic moments, including the muffled play in the 1986 World Series. Sully was also the broadcaster for the NFL and had several memorable calls, including “The Catch” in 1981.

Scully used his talent and touch to provide fans some of the biggest moments in sports. And his voice gave goosebumps to millions of fans, who adored him. Fans were understandably deeply hurt when they learned about the passing of one of the sport’s iconic voices.

LeBron James is one of the most loved stars in LA since his arrival. He supports the other teams in the city and often interacts with stars of the other sports. He was seen supporting the Los Angeles Rams during their recent Super Bowl victory. And he has been seen at Dodgers games before as well.
