The Charlotte Hornets, owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan, could receive a massive boost in the 2022-23 season by signing All-Star Kemba Walker. The North Carolina franchise is on the lookout for point guards this offseason. Majority owner Michael Jordan and the Hornets are reportedly thinking about signing former “franchise cornerstone” Kemba Walker for the upcoming season.
Kemba Walker played for the Charlotte Hornets (Bobcats) for about eight seasons from 2011 to 2019. In 2019, the 6 feet guard signed with the Boston Celtics. Walker spent the 2021-22 season playing for the New York Knicks. At present, he is part of the Detroit Pistons.

Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets are considering Kemba Walker as a potential point guard option in the upcoming season, according to recent reports. The Charlotte Hornets, then named the Charlotte Bobcats, drafted Walker with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft.

After playing for eight seasons in Charlotte, Walker landed in Boston. In fact, the 32-year-old had the best season of his career with Charlotte in the 2018-19 season. The veteran guard averaged 25.6 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds in 82 games.
Meanwhile, Walker also has playoff experience with the Hornets. In fact, he averaged 22.7 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in the 2016 postseason. As it turns out, Walker could be a valuable asset in the Hornets’ future playoff ventures.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets are also considering a contract extension for veteran guard Isaiah Thomas. The 33-year-old has proved himself to be an impactful leader in the locker room.
In other words, the two-time All-Star could come in handy in guiding a young Charlotte side in tough situations. Meanwhile, Michael Jordan‘s team is still awaiting the outcome of legal procedures concerning Miles Bridges. The 24-year-old star is undergoing judicial procedures after facing domestic violence and child abuse charges.
