The Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are making things very intriguing in the market right now. As the trade deadline keeps getting closer, the rumors and reports surrounding the likes of Ben Simmons and James Harden are only increasing. Now, a new report has claimed that the sides are negotiating a potential deal before the market closes. However, everything indicates that the Nets have some big asks.

25-year-old Ben Simmons hasn’t played a game for his one and only franchise since the end of their campaign last year. In spite of having an underwhelming 2021, Simmons tried to return to training, but to no avail. Meanwhile, the Nets are in good form, especially after the return of the once estranged Kyrie Irving. However, several sources claimed that Harden has been wanting out and that the management also wants alternatives. Only time will tell where things are headed.

Nets reportedly ask for Ben Simmons + two players in exchange for James Harden

As things stand, it looks like neither franchise is too pleased with their marquee signings. Two extremely talented guards, it is only natural that both Simmons and Harden desire the best possible setup, to showcase their skill set. Over the past few days, a potential like for like swap between the pair was being reported. On the other hand, a fresh update claims that the Brooklyn Nets have other ideas.

As reported by Jordan Schultz, Kevin Durant and co. aren’t happy with only Ben Simmons. After all, Harden is a proven match winner, and now a 10-time All-Star. In accordance, Brooklyn has asked for the star duo of Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey to be included in the Ben Simmons deal. On the other hand, Harden will move to Philly. This will mean that the saga will end with a 3 for 1 exchange. Additionally, Nets also have an apparent ‘tangible’ interest in Seth Curry.
