The Brooklyn Nets are still waiting for the right offers for both their disgruntled stars. While teams don’t have enough to satisfy what the Nets want in return for Kevin Durant, the demand for Kyrie Irving seems very low. However, the Miami Heat have emerged as the frontrunners to acquire either of them.

Miami has some great assets that could satisfy the Nets. Former NBA champion, Kyle Lowry could be made available along with Sixth Man of the Year, Tyler Herro. It could prove to be beneficial for both the franchises as the Heat would land either Durant or Irving and the Nets would likely get a future superstar in Herro.

According to NBA insider, Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, the Miami Heat could be in for either?Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving. ?I?m looking at a possible situation where Miami could make Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry, and Max Strus available as well as a first-round pick for Kyrie Irving and a second-round pick”, he stated.

However, the Brooklyn Nets might not get what they were looking for in exchange for Durant. Reports previously stated that the Nets wanted a historic haul in return for the 12-time All-Star. But seeing the response of the league to their demands, they might have to settle for less. However, there’s always the possibility of keeping both of them in Brooklyn.

The Nets are in no hurry to trade their superstars. Kevin Durant still has four years left on his contract, while the only team which has been touted to be interested in Irving is the Los Angeles Lakers. This saga might go on for a while and all outcomes are still possible.

Kevin Durant requested a trade before the start of free agency

After a poor season that resulted in a first-round sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics, there were concerns about the future of the Nets. Even though Kevin Durant was his usual brilliant self, off-court issues related to Irving took a toll on the whole team.

James Harden was subsequently traded mid-season and Irving only played 33 games due to his insistence on not getting vaccinated. Just before the start of free agency, Durant requested a trade. The 2-time Finals MVP is probably the biggest name ever on the trade block. Consequently, it will require a historic haul from any team looking to add the Slim Reaper to their roster for next season.
