In 2016 Kevin Durant made a decision that changed the league when he decided to join a 73-9 Finals-bound Warriors team. The Dubs won back-to-back NBA Championships and made three straight finals after Durant joined. Those dynastic years were hellish for other teams in the NBA. Durant parted ways with the Warriors in 2019 and chose to go to the Nets.

Recently, he had a fallout with the franchise and reportedly requested a trade. His preferred destinations are Heat and Suns. An exciting contender has emerged for the superstar. Toronto Raptors, a team against which he tore his Achilles and lost an NBA Finals, now stands high in contention for him.

According to ‘Fliff’ sportsbook, the odds for the Raptors landing Durant are now as high as +300 after starting from a +3500!

The Nets are looking for the best possible package for Durant and Kyrie. The Slip Reaper has 4 more years on his contract.

Where will Kevin Durant go?

Durant seems to have forgotten that the City of Toronto cheered as he hit the floor in the second half of game 5 in the 2019 NBA finals. His trade demand may have just broken the NBA free agency. There is no team that is not curating a package for the 34-year-old.

It is of no surprise that Durant is this heavily courted. His teammates wished him to stay in the Bay area when he did not sign the extension. Stephen Curry even took a flight to meet the two-time finals MVP. Damian Lillard also took to social media and shared an edit of KD in a Portland jersey.

Durant wishes to go to the Suns and Heat; however, they have limited assets to unload for the star. Nets would not let him go for a poor offer. Interestingly, former team Warriors may be a dark horse in the race for Durant. Toronto is leading the race as they have young talent and picks that interest the Nets.

Is a reunion with the Nets or the Warriors on the cards for Durant?

Now the Nets can potentially convince the star duo to stay for the coming seasons. Kyrie was forced to opt-in on his player option with the Nets as he did not get a qualifying trade offer. On the other hand, Durant is still under contract and could still play for the Nets.

As the Warriors just won their 4th title in 8 years, making their 6th finals appearance, a return to Dub nation cannot be ruled out. Warriors have plenty of assets in Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, and Jonathan Kuminga.
