Michael Jordan remains an idol for sporting professionals globally. The Chicago Bulls legend helped popularize the NBA in various parts of the world. Jordan has also enjoyed immense success with the Bulls alongside a star studded roster.

Most importantly, he has had a major impact on professional players from various other sports.

Recently, WWE legend Kevin Nash was revealed to have once pinned a signature Michael Jordan shot on the backboard. The revelation came to light on another WWE legend, Ric Flair’s podcast, ‘Ric Flair Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED’.

Co-host Mark Madden revealed Nash’s incredible basketball play as Flair laughed while reacting to it.

Madden said, “Nate, did you know? That Kevin Nash once, uh, not only blocked the Michael Jordan shot in college basketball but pinned him to the backboard pin the ball on the backboard.” Flair replied with a laugh, saying, “I did not know that. But I’ll be texting Kevin afterwards.”

NBA defenders and fans still consider Michael Jordan’s shots as one of the most difficult plays to defend against. Jordan attempted shots from difficult angles an astonishing number of times and managed to land them successfully. Every NBA fan and player has sought to copy the play style of ‘His Airness’.

Jordan won six NBA championships with the Bulls. These included the historic three-peat runs during which Jordan led the franchise with his talismanic qualities. Jordan is a five time NBA MVP and retired in 2003.

Michael Jordan played for the University of North Carolina in the NCAA. The ACC named Jordan as the ACC Freshman of the Year. Jordan scored the winning shot for the UNC against Georgetown in the 1982 NCAA Championship Final.

Jordan spent three seasons at North Carolina, averaging 17.7 PPG, and recorded 5.0 RPG. Jordan’s freshman achievements in 1983 led to the NCAA selecting Jordan for the NCAA All-American First Team. He also made the All American First Team in his junior season in 1984.

The distinguished Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards were bestowed upon Jordan in 1984. Entering the 1984 NBA draft, the Bulls selected Jordan as the third overall pick. Jordan’s legacy with the Bulls and the NBA arguably remains unrivalled.
