Michael Jordan is one of the GOATs. His career with the Chicago Bulls is one of the greatest in the history of the NBA. In fact, his 9 years during the span of a decade with the Bulls are among the best years for any athlete in any sport. During that time, he won every possible trophy and that too multiple times.

Jordan ended his career as one of the absolute greatest athletes of all time regardless of the sport. He even played decent baseball for one season. Moreover, in basketball, there are very few players that can be compared to him.

His achievements, his legacy, and his success are second to none. However, he still had probably one ?weakness.? Whatever MJ did in his basketball career, people were stunned by how well he did it. He was the best in almost all the aspects which he touched upon. However, three-point shooting was probably the one area where MJ was not the best. And this was clear in the 1990 NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest.

‘His Airness’ was paired up with his Bulls teammate at the time, Craig Hodges. Both the players were to shoot as many three-point shots as they could in the span of 1 minute. Larry Bird, who had won the contest thrice before, was also among the competing players along with Reggie Miller.

MJ only scored 5 out of 25 shots. While on the other hand, Craig Hodges went off with 18 out of 25. Well, to say the least, Michael Jordan was surely embarrassed in front of Bird and Miller as the look on his face described the story well. Craig Hodges went on to win the 3-point contest, which he did a couple more times in 1991 and 1992 as well.

Jordan might have hardly done anything in his basketball career, which left him embarrassed. However, the 1990 three-point contest was one of those instances. His smile as he finished the poor performance summed up how he also knew that he had failed miserably.
