Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan all pose

It is extremely rare to see legends of the game all get-together. The competitive side of the game often stays with the players even after retirement. With two killers, such as Jordan and Kobe, fighting for the title of the best, there would likely be friction. However, their bond was of a brotherhood.

But after the 2006 All-Star game in Houston, the world got a photo that arguably has the best collection of legends. A young LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony posed alongside legends, Jordan, Kobe, Moses Malone, and WNBA legend Cynthia-Cooper Duke.

The amount of greatness in the photo goes through the roof. The 6 have won a total of 20 championships amongst themselves. Moreover, their personal accolades are astonishing. With almost 160,000 points, it makes this picture all the more glorious.

For Melo, his bond with Jordan helped him become the scoring champion in 2012. The Lakers forward spoke about MJ’s philosophy to break down points in each quarter. Taking his advice, Carmelo Anthony is now one of the most decorated scorers in the history of the NBA.

However, the most prominent bond in this photo is between Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Taking the role of his mentor, His Airness looked out for the Mamba. For Kobe, he wanted to be just like Jordan. After an early competition, MJ knew Kobe was about to be something special. They were closer than ever, addressing each other as brothers. Notably, when Kobe passed away, Jordan even said a piece of him died.
