NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was consistently one of the tallest players in the league during his time. Standing at an incredible 7-foot-1 inches height, O’Neal was blessed with a physicality like only a few others.
As a consequence, he made everyone and everything around him look so small. For instance, he makes even elite UFC fighters look tiny in front of him.

Shaq once took a pic with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and also former WWE and UFC star Brock Lesnar. Needless to say, the height difference in both the pics was quite staggering.
While Ngannou stands at 6-foot-4 inches, Lesnar stands at 6-foot-3 inches tall. Despite both the stars being decently tall compared to the average man, they looked quite small compared to the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

Interestingly enough, Ngannou once achieved the incredible feat of carrying Shaq. Back in 2020, O’Neal weighed around 325 and Ngannous lifted him in the air almost effortlessly.
Shaquille O’Neal height comparison with current NBA players
While 7-foot-1 inch NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal does seem tall, he is nowhere near the tallest players in the NBA. They are Boban Marjanovic and Kristaps Porzingis.
They both stand at 7-foot- 3 inches tall. Last season, the tallest player in the NBA was the Senegalese sensation Tacko Fall. A few weeks ago, Fall, who was a free agent, signed with a Chinese Team.
Marjanovic currently plays for the Houston Rockets after he was traded by the Dallas Mavericks. He played an instrumental role in the Mavs’ brilliant post-season run during the 2021-22 playoffs lead by Luka Doncic.

On the other hand, Porzingis plays for the Washington Wizards. Although they might be taller than Shaquille O’Neal, it is a tough job to replicate the brilliant career the Big Diesel has had in the NBA.
In fact, Shaq has four NBA titles to his name with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat. That is not all. He also has three Finals MVP awards and also a regular season MVP award, alongside various other individual accolades.
