On, ‘The Ringer’, Quentin revealed the “crazy story” of his first encounter with Jordan. He explained that he grew up a block away from where his ex-wife’s family stayed. And Jordan had a court in that backyard and used to turn up in the hood once in a blue moon.

“One day I am standing in front of my crib, I grew up in front of and this was my senior year and I was getting ready to go to school,” he narrated.

He painted a picture that kids were running around and going bonkers when Jordan had come. Then he said, “One of the little kids then said, ‘Hey Q, MJ wants to see you. He is in the next block’.

“Me and my homeboy were sitting there like, ‘Yeah, right.’ And He was like, ‘We have got to make this walk, just in case,’ Quentin continued.

Signing with his brand

In the interview, he described the feeling of being signed with the Jordan brand. He confessed that when he signed with them, the brand had just started off.

Only a few other players like Eddie Jones, Ray Allen, etc were a part of it. So when he and D. Miles had gone for a camp, Jordan was there.

When Quentin told him that his agent was trying to get them a shoe deal, as per Richardson, MJ was like, ‘You all don’t worry about it. You are going to come with me.’ And we didn’t even know what that meant.”
