So much, that Jimmy Butler stood up for his teammate and threatened Jokic, who was ejected because of his actions. And anytime something like this happens, NBA fans on Twitter go berserk. The Jazz faced an unexpected 111-110 loss at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. Almost throughout the game, the Pacers were more dominating on the offense, giving one of the best teams in the Western Conference, a run for their money. Under so much pressure to win against a team not as elite as them, the Jazz looked frustrated. And it all came out when Rudy Gobert and Myles Turner got into a violent confrontation.

It all started when Turner blocked a shot that Rudy Gobert was trying to make. While doing so, the Jazz’ big man, well to the floor but grabbed his opponent Myles’ shorts in the process, pulling him down to. Turner started to point out to the referees to bring this to their attention but Rudy got up and started to rush to the other side of the floor.

Turner ran behind him and pushed him with his shoulders. Finally, both of them completely lost their cool and started grabbing each other. Their teammates, referees, and security also got involved. Not only were these two ejected, but Donovan Mitchell was too, for becoming a party to it. Joe Ingles went another step ahead and shoved a referee as well. This certainly got everyone’s attention on Twitter.

Could they suspend the Utah Jazz player for longer?

The last time a Utah Jazz played pushed a referee, it was Jordan Clarkson. They were playing the Phoenix Suns last season when the official came in his way. But this was far more gentle and seemed more like an instant reaction than intentional. Which is why he was just fined for it, after receiving a technical.

In Jokic’s case, the fight did not involve a referee being disrespected. Yet, he was suspended for one entire game. So, it seems like this could go either way. Because this shove was quite harsh, a suspension is most likely.
