In contrast to the beginning of the 2022-23 season, LeBron James‘ Los Angeles Lakers have been doing fairly well. While they are still one of the bottom five teams in the Western Conference, their on-court performances are significantly better than some of the other teams in the league. That is probably why King James couldn’t help but take a ‘subtle’ jab at their opponents in his latest social media post that LeBron tweeted to praise his eldest son Bronny James.
The eldest son of the James clan, Bronny James, is already a hot topic among the sports media. This is not just because of his superstar dad but due to his stellar on-court performances as well. The young point guard is currently considered one of the top ten picks in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Fans are well aware that the NBA forward’s son, Bronny, is in his last year of high school and is all set to enter a new chapter of his life. The 18-year-old rising basketball star currently plays for the Sierra Canyon basketball team and is by no means lacking in talent. As supportive parents, LeBron and his wife Savannah have occasionally attended Bronny’s high school basketball games to watch their son crush his opponents. Given that LeBron is currently sidelined due to a right foot injury, he seems to be completely focused on his sons’ progress for now.

While LeBron hasn’t confirmed anything, his tweet seems to indicate the performance of certain players and teams from the Eastern Conference. For instance, the latest game between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite being one of the top contending teams in the league, Celtics’ Grant Williams became the reason for his team’s doom when he missed two free throws. This resulted in an overtime game which the Cavaliers eventually won by 118-114. Unfortunately, Williams is not the only player who recently caused a blunder.
Pistons vs Blazers game
After the Celtics’ defeat, the game between the Detroit Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers marked yet another loss for an Eastern Conference team. Led by star guard Damian Lillard, the Blazers’ grabbed defeated the Pistons by 110-104. However, what was probably more embarrassing than the defeat itself was the blunder that Alec Burks caused in the first quarter.

Trailing behind the Blazers by an eight-point difference, Pistons’ Jaden Ivey took possession of the ball with about four minutes remaining in the game. As he moved across the court, Ivey passed the ball to Burks a split-second after he faked a shot. However, the tactic failed in a spectacular fashion due to Burks’ ridiculous attempt at a jump shot.
