With the return of his shooting buddy Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors rose to the top once again as NBA champions. Curry even won his first Finals MVP award. In addition, he was also the host of this year’s ESPYs. And he knew just how to open the show.
When it comes to hosting, there aren’t many who compare to Hollywood’s favorite, Kevin Hart. He is one of the funniest men on the planet. Likewise, he knows how to get the crowd going. The comedic genius has sold out arenas like it was nothing. But while he can make others laugh, cracking up Hart is difficult.

However, in his first hosting gig, Steph hit right on the money. Ironically, it was all Hart’s advice.
Stephen Curry makes Kevin Hart laugh
Curry came off a year full of highs. He became the three-point king of the NBA and even won his first All-Star game MVP. However, his biggest achievement so far came after winning the NBA Finals. He almost single-handedly demolished the Boston Celtics. In his first Finals MVP conquest, the Chef put a young Boston team to sleep. Now, Curry, who was nominated for Best Male Athlete, put the heat on his Finals opponent again to open the show.

The Chef may or may not have been planning on being the naughty host. However, Kevin Hart put the idea in his ears, and Curry let fly. Steph said: “I’m your host Stephen Curry. Proud husband of Ayesha Curry. Proud son of Dell Curry. Proud daddy of… The Boston Celtics.”?

Stephen Curry arguably had his greatest run in the NBA Finals last season. The master shooter averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in the Finals this time around. Curry was undoubtedly the biggest difference maker by far. Moreover, he was a two-way force to his credit. Averaging two steals per game, he was a lockdown defender on the biggest stage of the season. It isn’t a surprise to see him be a nominee for the best NBA player. However, he has surely made a bitter enemy of the Boston Celtics.
