Porter is a basketball player herself and has played in the forward position for the Missouri team in the NCAA. Her brother, Michael Porter had played basketball for the Missouri Tigers before his draft into the NBA in 2018 by the Denver Nuggets. In the 2023 NBA Finals, Porter helped his team win their first-ever championship over Miami Heat.
