Starting his career at a young age in 2018, Michael Porter Jr. is a small forward for Denver Nuggets. The beloved NBA player celebrates his birthday today.  Fans look forward to his celebrations on social media, his sister expresses her love for the NBA star on Instagram.

The brother-sister duo has several fond memories with each other. One of which is making its way into the social world. And of course, our hearts are melting looking at their close-knit family.

The Instagram Story reveals Michael’s best buddy forever

Cierra Porter, Michael’s sister took to Instagram stories, sharing a photo of herself and her brother as children. She also posts a picture of the duo in a car, looking all set to travel somewhere.

The brother appreciated the gesture. Michael re-sharing his sister’s posts. After this, Cierra goes ahead to share a couple more images of her and Michael together. The two have been associated with the game, and Michael’s always been a good role model for the younger siblings.

Porter is a basketball player herself and has played in the forward position for the Missouri team in the NCAA. Her brother, Michael Porter had played basketball for the Missouri Tigers before his draft into the NBA in 2018 by the Denver Nuggets. In the 2023 NBA Finals, Porter helped his team win their first-ever championship over Miami Heat.

Michael Porter owes his success to his family

It’s heartwarming and exciting to know about the close bonds that basketball players and personalities share with their siblings and parents.

The Porter family is one of the rare ones where multiple family members are associated with the game. Porter Sr. was a coach at Missouri. Even Porter Jr’s mother, Lisa Porter, has earlier played for France, in the eighties.  With the parents associated so deeply with the game, it’s pretty obvious that Porter Jr. and his siblings had some pretty strong influences about joining the game.

It has been a good thing though, with the game and its viewers getting a chance to view such talented players for decades.
