A bizarre claim about Ja Morant’s apology takes center stage

Ja Morant’s recent controversial IG live video went viral on Saturday. In the said video, the Grizzlies guard was driving around, but was also holding what appeared to be a firearm in his hand. Apart from the immediate suspension by the Memphis-based franchise, Morant reportedly is likely to face a prolonged suspension from the league. Besides, the NBA commissioner Adam Silver had also remarked that he was “shocked” to see Morant’s latest video.

Silver is also concerned about the ill-effect Morant’s conduct will have on children who look up to him. Morant issued a statement of apology.

?I know I?ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I?m committed to continuing to work on myself,? Morant said in the statement.

However, it has now been widely claimed by netizens that Morant used the AI chatbot ChatGPT to generate the formal statement of apology. This claim about Morant using AI technology is also doing rounds on Instagram after a handle named ‘theflightmike’ posted a reel about the same.

According to the user, ChatGPT will generate a statement similar to Morant’s apology if one types, “Write me a paragraph apologizing to everyone about my actions,” into ChatGPT. It is still unsure if Morant depended on AI or not. Fans, however, are going berserk after seeing the said reel on Instagram.

Fans go into a frenzy after seeing the AI claims

The allegations of Ja Morant using ChatGPT gathered momentum when ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Morant’s statement. Numerous fans had then accused that the All-Star guard issued a fake apology, and it was AI-generated. Now the same discussion has taken Instagram by storm. Certain fans even hint that the Grizzlies star does not care about things going haywire.?“On the real, that?d be some pretty savage idgaf sh**,” said a fan.
