Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Even before winning his first championship, MJ was a superstar. However, his rise to superstardom started with the 1991 NBA championship. The Chicago Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers and Jordan was awarded the first of six Finals MVP of his career.
As it was customary, the Chicago Bulls were invited to the White House by then-President George H. W. Bush. While the whole team was there, Jordan was nowhere to be found. His reasoning for missing the trip to the White House was that he had already planned a family vacation. But it was all a ruse, as MJ just wanted to play golf and gamble.
