The Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets are at war. The two teams are competing against each other to clinch a berth in the Western Conference finals. The Nuggets, led by the former league MVP Nikola Jokic, gained a two-game lead over the Suns. In a must-win Game 3, despite the absence of their floor general Chris Paul, the Suns took their rivals by surprise. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker showed up in a crucial Game 3 to cut their series trail to Game 1.

Apart from the two superstars putting on a show, their teammate Deandre Ayton was not seen as happy during the game. The center was seen angry, yelling, and avoiding his teammate Chris Paul.

The Phoenix Suns were mocked and criticized a lot by the fans for blowing up crucial games. They lost the 2021 NBA finals to the Milwaukee Bucks. In addition to this, they blew up their lead against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinal last year. The Suns acquired mid-range sniper Kevin Durant trading their bench depth to increase their championship contention.

The addition of Durant reduced opportunities for Ayton to touch the ball more. Deandre Ayton, who was once the secondary scoring option for the team, is now a fourth scoring option. Ayton was the No.1 draft pick in 2018 but he is now confined to a defensive role that he hasn’t embraced wholeheartedly yet. Moreover, fans have been noticing his lack of will to play hard defense and rebound. Amid all that, the 24-year-old NBA star was recently seen yelling in displeasure at the coaching staff.
