Philanthropist Shaquille O’Neal Made Heartfelt Five-Figure Donation for the Family of a Mass Shooting Victim

Shaquille O’Neal has donated $50,000 to the family of a victim of the mass shooting that took place on May 14 in a supermarket in Buffalo, New York. The Big Diesel once again showed the generosity of his heart by donating the entire sum earned from a DJing gig in the city of Buffalo.

The entire country came to a standstill after an 18-year-old gunman walked into a grocery store on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo and started shooting indiscriminately with his semi-automatic rifle. Thirteen people were injured by the gunshots. Out of them, 10 people died from their injuries.

Shaquille O’Neal donates $50k to a victim’s family

Shaquille O’Neal had a DJing gig in Buffalo, New York as DJ Diesel, a part of Shaq’s Bass All-Stars. The Los Angeles Lakers legend reportedly donated the entirety of his remuneration to the family of one of the victims of the heinous incident.

Moreover, Shaq also talked with the family of Aaron Salter Jr., an ex-policeman. Salter Jr. was in charge of the security of the targeted store. He interacted with the shooter and shot him without caring for his own life.

Incidentally, Shaq has a unique connection with law enforcement. In fact, he has served as a reserve officer in Los Angeles, Arizona, Miami, and Virginia.
