In the season opener, 76ers won a thrilling matchup with the Wizards. All-Star center Joel Embiid had a stunning double-double to get win number 1 for the team. Furthermore, his partner in crime, Ben Simmons, had a good game of his own.

Prior to the Knicks’ matchup, luckily, the 76ers have no listed injuries so far. As a result, they will most probably enter with the lineup of Ben Simmons (G), Seth Curry (G), Danny Green (F), and Joel Embiid (C).

New York Knicks injury update and lineup prediction

The Knicks had another terrible campaign last year. They finished with just 21 wins for the season and missed the playoffs once again. As a result, they were handed a lottery pick in the 2020 NBA draft, which they used to select Obi Toppin.

How Toppin plays can make or break the season for the franchise. But he and RJ Barrett have the potential to form the next formidable duo for the organization. However, he is listed as doubtful for the Saturday night matchup. Furthermore, forward Omari Spellman will be sitting out the game due to a knee injury.

Keeping the injuries in mind, the expected lineup for the Knicks is RJ Barrett (G), Elfrid Payton (G), Reggie Bullock (F), Julius Randle (F), and Mitchell Robinson (C).

Game prediction

As things stand right now, the 76ers should easily go home with a victory. They have a better all-around lineup with a lot more experience. Unless the Knicks pull a rabbit out of the rabbit, they are looking at a 0-2 start to the season.
