The Philadelphia 76ers have enjoyed a successful start to the second half of their season. Featuring James Harden in the roster, the Sixers landed 2 successful wins against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks.

In terms of Harden’s performance, it was a show! In his latest game, the ‘Beard’ had a triple-double and combined with Joel Embiid for 66 points.

After the win against the Knicks, Harden sat down for a post-match interview and addressed several topics. However, there was one topic regarding his physical shape that caught the eye of many, especially because it indicated how his physical shape was as a member of the Nets.

While sitting down for the post-match interview, Harden addressed several topics on the team’s performance, including how the 76ers’ defense can help get easy points. Thereafter, he addressed his physical shape.

“My body feels great, man. It feels great. I haven’t felt this way, honestly, in a really, really long time. So just my pop, me getting to the rim, my extra step. It feels really great,” said Harden.

Furthermore, he addressed the fact that he would have to continue to put in the work and build his body. Apart from the positivity that Harden has noticed in his body and game, these statements also show how Harden’s shape is at present, in comparison to his shape in Brooklyn.

Clearly, he appears to be in a much better space. Additionally, he is also able to score and play make as he did for the Houston Rockets.

Harden Over the Years

Over the years, Harden has emerged as a dynamic player in the NBA. From being a scorer on the Rockets, he was soon also able to make plays and grab rebounds. But he has never been able to win a title. His next best chance came as a member of the Nets.

Here he was the third star of the team and was the primary playmaker on the squad. In fact, in the 2021-22 season, Harden averaged 10.2 assists while on the Nets. But his scoring took a hit.

When he joined the 76ers on trade deadline day, it was expected that we would see the Harden of old back in action. And that’s exactly what he has done. In the two games that Harden has played, he has scored 56 points, dished out 28 assists, and grabbed 18 rebounds.

If this form continues, the Sixers are going to be a scary team. Maybe even the favorites to come out of the East. This is especially true due to Joel Embiid’s superiority this season. As the season moves forward, the 76ers will hope for more success and maybe even lift the title.
