With the end of regulation time nearing, Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies got into the head of some of the opposition players. He yelled, “you suck”, while sitting on the bench, which naturally didn’t sit right with some players. This urged Thompson to hit back at the opposition and he showed four fingers to Brooks, referring to his four NBA titles.
Interestingly, when Brooks was asked about Thompson’s antics, he took it in a positive way. The Grizzlies star asserted that his team wants to win an NBA title and he looks at Thompson’s four NBA titles as motivation. Moreover, he also dismissed all the back and forth as friendly trash talk.
