With all the odds stacked up against them, the Boston Celtics pulled through to force a Game 7. Unsurprisingly, it was once again the heroics of young Jayson Tatum leading the Celtics. However, this time the youngster didn’t let Giannis Antetokounmpo spoil his night. Tatum exploded against the Bucks once again and earned the praise of Paul Pierce who compared him to LeBron James.

The Celtics weren’t in the best situation heading into Game 6 tonight. Down 3-2, they had to face a tough Milwaukee crowd. But they fought through th noise and came out on top in an epic battle of the stars. Jayson Tatum and Giannis both went at each other in a duel for the ages. As this series has shown, both teams are here to win. And Tatum made sure the Celtics get the chance to go back to Boston for a Game 7.

As he haunted the Bucks tonight, fans compared him to LeBron James during his infamous performance in Game 6 against Boston.

Jayson Tatum rallies the Celtics to force a Game 7 against Bucks

The Celtics forces came into this game away from home and without any support from the crowd. With no one rooting for them, it wa always going to be a tough task. Likewise, they needed a mammoth effort in order to put the Bucks to sleep. And Tatum went on to deliver one of the best performances of his playoff career to keep the Celtics alive in this series.

Just like the movie, ‘Friday The 13th’, Tatum turned out to be a nightmare for Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks. Fans compared his iconic night to LeBron James’ similar effort against the Celtics in 2012 where the King put up 45 points in Game 6. Just like Tatum, the Heat were on the brink of elimination going into the game against the Celtics. But LeBron had other plans. He put up a performance to silence all the critics and keep the Miami Heat alive. They went o to eventually beat the Celtics in Game 7 and win the title that season.

While Tatum did come through in the toughest game of the series, everyone on the Celtics played their part. Tatum exploded for a massive 46 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the Game 6 win for the Celtics. His coring partner Jaylen Brown did his part to help his All-Star teammate putting up 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Along with his defensive assignments, Smart came up huge on offense. He finished the game with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists as the Celtics won 108-95. Despite a 44 points and 20 rebounds explosion from Giannis, it wasn’t enough to quiet the forces of Boston.
