Over the past decade, NBA superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry have both battled for supremacy both on and off the court. However, as time passes and the two icons get older, it seems their time on the top is slowly coming to an end. Not only are neither of the two in the NBA finals, but it seems like they are losing social media views as well. As they both near the twilight of their career, there is a new king in town. It is none other than Nikola Jokic. 

The Denver Nuggets superstar has slowly risen to the top and established himself as one of the best players in the league. Although he wasn’t popular with the fans until a few years ago, a recent report suggests otherwise.

Nikola Jokic might just be the most wholesome player in the league. The Serbian is a family man, he does not indulge in any off-court controversies and he is literally one of the best players currently.

For this reason, the Joker has struck a special chord with the NBA community. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Jokic is the third most popular star on social media platforms behind James and Curry.

Following this update, he took his team to the NBA finals and his popularity has only been on the rise. According to an official statement by the league, The Joker is currently the most famous NBA superstar on social media platforms.

He has garnered around 316 million views which takes him over LeBron James and Curry. Interestingly, Jokic was ranked number 18 last season despite winning the MVP award. Moreover, he was ranked number 9 during the regular season, although he helped his team clinch the #1 seed in the West.

After a dominant post-season run beating the Los Angeles Lakers on the way, Jokic is finally getting the love he deserves from the NBA fans.

Nikola Jokic was drafted during a Taco Bell commercial! The Denver Nuggets chose him as the 41st overall pick during the 2014 draft. Interestingly, there was a Taco Bell commercial on air when he was drafted.

Little did the people know that they will be drafting a future two-time MVP and an NBA finalist in the second round! Needless to say, the Joker proved all of his haters wrong.
