When the league got hit by the pandemic, Wahlberg attended conference calls with the Celtics. The president of basketball operations revealed that stars attended the conference call to lift the spirits of the players.
Mark Wahlberg surprises the Celtics team
The Boston Celtics are one of the most iconic teams of all time. Legends like Larry Bird, Kevin Garnett, and Bill Russell have represented the franchise.
Interestingly enough, it seems Mark Wahlberg is a huge fan of the Celtics, as he happens to be from Boston. Moreover, he entertained the players during the pandemic lockdown.
The Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge revealed that Mark was a part of conference calls that involved the players as well. Ainge said, “He [Mark Wahlberg] was a lot of fun. Our players got a kick out of him. We have had some very inspirational speakers.”
Wahlberg was not the only celebrity to give the Celtics players a visit. Hip-Hop legend LL Cool J and NFL player Myron Rolle also had a conference call session.

The Boston Celtics, led by Jayson Tatum, take on the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry in the NBA finals for the 2021-22 season. With 3 games already done, the Celtics have a 2-1 win.

In the 3rd game of the finals, the Celtics got past the Warriors with a 116-100 win. Despite bottling an 18-point lead, the team responded after the Warriors took a lead in the third quarter.
Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Smart all scored 20+ points to add to a brilliant team victory. Brown scored 27 while Tatum and Smart added 26 and 24, respectively.
